Transfer Station Permits on sale beginning January 2, 2024.

Fees for 2024:

Woodstock Single Family Household:                          $220

Woodstock Seniors – 65 or Older:                                $125

Woodstock Businesses for Recyclables Only:              $220

Woodstock Resident One Day Pass:                             $35

Pomfret Single Family Household

(limited to 50 households):                                             $270

Transfer Station Hours:10 am to 3:45 pm Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. Brush and leaf drop off ends one hour before the transfer station closes. 


What We Do:

The Woodstock Transfer Station is located at 49 Paine District Road. It is open to Woodstock Residents, Woodstock Property Owners and Woodstock Businesses only. It is a collection facility for municipal solid waste, and recyclables, brush, used batteries, waste oil, etc.

RESIDENTIAL TRANSFER STATION PERMITS ARE ON SALE at the Town Clerk's Office during Town Hall business hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am to 6:00pm
Friday: Closed

In addition, Special Permits can be purchased at the Transfer Station (during Transfer Station hours) from an attendant, payable by check only. A receipt will be issued.

If you are renewing your sticker by mail, please send a copy of the vehicle registration along with a check made payable to "Town of Woodstock."

 **The Transfer Station is accepting mattresses and box springs in a recycling program. Please see the attendant before recycling. If they are not heavily soiled they can be recycled. If they are heavily soiled they are considered bulky waste and a fee will be charged.**
